Union Thugs.

Right on cue, the bussed in mass of Union Thugs assembled and charged yet another state capital building yesterday.  This time the roving band of bearded, overweight, underemployed, semi retired, benefit whores were in Michigan.  The legislature was voting on the passage of "right to work" laws. Those are laws that simply prevent the Union Thugs from grabbing mandatory dues from those who do not want to belong to a thuggish gang or union.

See Unions bosses want them dues to be mandatory.  That way they sit around spending the millions on fat paychecks for themselves while funneling some of the $$ to their favorite candidates. Then they demand favors from those same candidates. As demnostrated in Wisconsin and Indiana the only way to shut down this vicious cycle is to cut off the cash at it's source...the poor dues paying worker who is forced to contribute. Even though he/she may not agree with the position of the Thugocracy.

Doubt me?....check out the union encampment in Petosky, Michigan. Walter Reuther died when his union owned Lear jet crashed while taking him there in 1970. Fondly called the Walter & May Reuther Family Education Center.
A little $33 million dollar hideaway that the union was trying to unload until....the bailout was announced. Your union dues at work.  I do note that union members can join the club....for a reduced rate.

But, I digress.....

The Michigan legislature boldly went where no Michigan politician had dared to go since the day after Jimmy Hoffa went to lunch.  They approved the law and the thugs went wild.  They collapsed a tent on some women and elderly serving coffee.  They also pounced upon Steven Crowder and attempted to give him a good thrashing. All was recorded on video.

Now that the video is out, the sycophants are claiming that the Tea Party collapsed their own tent and Crowder punched himself.  You can't make this crap up....

Today is a new day in Michigan.  You have a right to work without some union thug demanding a slice of your paycheck.  That, is a good thing.

UPDATE: Jonah Goldberg over at NRO Online:

Second, and perhaps more important, facts will always drive public policy — eventually. The plight of certain states will naturally lead to homegrown reforms. And it’s worth noting that conservative institutions are thick on the ground to advocate and argue for free market policies. Enormous progress has been made with state-based think tanks (By the way: Congrats to the Mackinac Center in Michigan!) over the last couple decades. The fight in Washington may be bogged down, but the fights on the ground in the various states are going better than we might of hoped.

Except of course in California, where you people are doomed.

Indeed...
