Why We Lost....
There are a host of Monday Morning quarterbacks telling the Republicans why they lost. Lot's of Hispandering, Gaypandering etc, etc, etc. Total BS, (Barbara Streisand)
We lost because 3 Million registered Republicans sat on their ass and did not vote. WTH?! 3 Million!
This guy seems to have it right.
Could it be, ladies and gentlemen, that three million Republicans sat
at home because they didn’t see enough of a conservative campaign?
These are the things that have to be pondered while the party beats
itself up over amnesty and single women and contraception. But I’m just
gonna tell the Republican Party right now: If you think that the only
reason you’re not winning presidential races is because you’re not for
amnesty and ’cause you’re not for abortion…
If you change to that, if you moderate or modify your positions,
you’re gonna cease to exist because those who are with you are gonna
abandon you. I’m not… (interruption) No, I’m not trying to sound
threatening. I’m trying to be helpful. In fact, that’s my middle name.
That’s all I ever try to do is help, anybody. I always said this was
gonna be a turnout election. Now, I don’t want to be misunderstood,
either.
So, 3 M sat on their thumbs. Combine this with those smarter than anyone Libertarians that voted for Gary Johnson and/or Ron Paul based on "values", and the Republicans got their collective butts kicked. Thanks for nothing.
Still, the results show that approximately 50% of those who voted went with the Republican concepts.
So what to change?
Here's a suggestion....NOTHING. Fine tune the edges and get some youth involved and watch this thing turn around. Ole Zero has another 4 years to step on his, uh, other foot and past performance show he will do this just that.
Elections have consequnces. Not voting has consequnces. Now we have the beginnning of The Platinum Era of HopeyChangey...
Enjoy the decline.
UPDATE: Found some VOTES!
Have a nice morning smile
