Has anyone asked the Council on American Islamic Relations for their position on Jason Collins and the NBA?
Just curious, yannow......

You Say
Al Qaeda....
The FBI says...meh.
In the latest chapter of How The World Turns with our two Radical Muslim Terrorists, we learn about the wife, the welfare in excess of $100K and the mysterious Saudi that was/was not deported. I am not worried though, Eric Holder and his crack team of FBI chaps are on the case. Searching for mysteries without any clues....
From the comments section, apparently one of my readers sees things differently.....
They now think at least a 3rd bomber involved who triggered the bombs to go off, and the trigger device they used is published in an Al Qaeda magazine, AND a Saudi is now implicated in aiding them, AND the Saudi Minister was summoned to the White House the day of the bombing, and left the country immediately afterwards...and they found connection to friendship of known terrorist from Canada who died in a Russian gunfight 2 days before the older brother came home to America suddenly...
and they say they have not found any connection to Al Queada.... REALLY?!!!
Paging Inspector Clouseau.......

The Police,
To Protect & Serve
Really? There is an olde adage that the police are only minutes away when you have moments to live. 21 years ago in Los Angeles the residents of Koreatown learned the hard way. A discussion over at the Borepatch provides an answer to the question...."Why does anyone need an 'Assault Weapon'?"
Fast forward to Boston...is that what our Police have become? Chicago? Please... What about Sandy Hook? The MSM's tell us that the citizens are still being preyed upon by armed looters. Of course, Nanny Bloomberg has all the guns and Guvner Christie tells us president Zero delivered on his promises of help.
Protection?
Learn history, lest ye have to repeat it....

Monday's Hockey Pun(s) !!!
The hockey playoffs start on Tuesday.
Sidney
Crosby walks into a bar & orders an Ovechkin. The bartender asks what it is
& Crosby says, "A white Russian with no ice and no cup."
Hockey
players are terrible chess players because they are always getting checked.
Hockey
puns are pucking ridiculous.

Density Altitude
High, Hot and pushing gross weight in a 1947 Stinson 108 ....stir the plot a little and you get .... "an unplanned off airport landing." Fortunately, they all survived.
I may have posted the video before, but I always wondered what type of plane. It took a little sleuthing but I confirmed it was a Stinson.
Wings Win!!
Four straight wins and the Detroit Red Wings clinch a playoff spot for the 22nd consecutive year.
They face the Anaheim DuhUcks in the first go round. I have two tickets in hand*....BooYaa!!!
(* They are moving to the Eastern Conference next season so a little splurge was in order.)
Bay Area
From the International Space Station. International...I'm pretty sure that means the USA paid for and built it. The Russians sent up a case of canned food and another country sent up some cheesy crackers....yannow, "we all chipped in."
Except now the USA cannot even fly up to the thing. We hitch rides with the Russians. Meanwhile NASA works on ...Muslim outreach. How is that working out?

Red Wings!!
My beloved Red Wings are in a bit of a pickle. Right now they are on the Inside Looking Out. It is playoff time and they sit unconfortably in 7th place with one game left to play. That game is Saturday against the Dallas Stars. The Wings hold a 1 point lead over the Columbus Blue Jackets AND the Minnesota Wild. While the BJ's have one game to play, the Wild have two. Therein lies the rub.
While there are a multitude of scenarios to play out, the only one that secures the Wings a spot is to WIN on Saturday. In short, three teams, two spots, somebodies going golfing next week. Saturday will be the night of the living dead. I don't want a Heartbreaker.

College commitment is due by May 1st. Son Number Two has been weighing the pros & cons and reached a decision. Today, SNT sent in his SIR (Student Intent to Register) to the University of California, San Diego. His plan is to study Nanoengineering at the Jacobs School of Engineering.
Congratulations to the new Triton!
Shocked! I am Shocked....
....Again.
The company chosen to build the Brown Doggle is owned by the husband of California Senator, Diane Finestain.....
What a coincidence! Millions of tax dollars will be wasted in building the train to nowhere and all of it will flow through Dick Blum's company. That's right, the non high speed rail will connect the Central Valley metropolis' of Madera and Fresno.
As this fiasco progress, remember that this $35 million per mile represents the best California can do on the section of track the High on Crack Speed Rail Authority selected to go first because it will be the cheapest.
.....and that does not include rolling stock. They have no money for that....yet.
All aboard!

Why Does The President Hate Babies?
president Zero, Our Hero, appeared at the Planned Parenthood gathering to celebrate the abuse, maiming, dismemberment, and out right murder of a record 333,964 born and unborn fetus in 2011.
Indeed, olde zero crowed...
“If there’s one thing the past few years have shown is that Planned Parenthood isn’t going anywhere,” Obama said as the crowd cheered. “It’s not going anywhere today, It’s not going anywhere tomorrow.”
Obama was wildly received by the audience when he entered the room - the first sitting president to address the nation’s largest abortion provider.
“Everybody sit down,” Obama said sheepishly. “You’re making me blush.”
The children were unavailable for comment.

What He Said....
Enraging liberals is simply one of the more enjoyable side effects of my wisdom. Rush Limbaugh.
Indeed.

Imagine that!
Turns out the Radical Muslim Extremist(s) [RME] was a welfare recipient grabbing $$ from the public trough! The elder RME and his wife were bonafied members of the welfare King & Queen club. Two apartments, enrolled at UMass, and a Mercedes in the shop for repairs.
Marathon bombings mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev was living on taxpayer-funded state welfare benefits even as he was delving deep into the world of radical anti-American Islamism, the Herald has learned.
State officials confirmed last night that Tsarnaev, slain in a raging gun battle with police last Friday, was receiving benefits along with his wife, Katherine Russell Tsarnaev, and their 3-year-old daughter. The state’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services said those benefits ended in 2012 when the couple stopped meeting income eligibility limits. Russell Tsarnaev’s attorney has claimed Katherine — who had converted to Islam — was working up to 80 hours a week as a home health aide while Tsarnaev stayed at home.
Yannow, his 3 year old spawn will probably qualify for Government death benefits to boot. Do they run to age 18 or 21? Citizenship=FREE stuff!
But, he hated America.....
UPDATE: I wonder if he had a Obamaphone?

Pocket Carry
Came across a decent article in American Rifleman discussing pocket carry guns.
Lot's of trade offs when considering which pistol to use. The effectiveness of the smaller caliber presents a compromise.
Consider where you will carry it. Front pocket? Back pocket? Vest pocket? You also need to think through how you will utilize it. The fancy word for this is "presentation". In layman's terms...how do you get it safely out of your pocket and present it to the threat. Practice is required. Lot's of practice.
Check out the article for further insight.
So, what's in your pocket?

Radical Islamic Terrorists
Occasionally, I find some gold on Facebook. This is spot on.
I don't want to know his name. I don't want to see his face. I don't want to know his life's history, his back-story, who his family is, where he went to school, or what he liked to do in his spare time. I don't want to know what "cause", if any, he was fighting for. I don't want to know why he did it, or may have done it, or what possessed him to carry out his actions. I don't want to know. Because that's what he really wants. I'll be damned if I'm going to give him what he wants.
Put him on trial, but don't cover it. Tell me when you decide to jail him for three lifetimes - because that number matters. That's the number of lives he has to now pay for. That's all I want to know about him. Nothing else.
Instead, tell me about the first responders who ran towards the fray, within seconds, fearless. Tell me about the ones wearing the yellow volunteer jacket, or the neon police vest, or even the ones in the regular everyday t-shirt who became a helper. Tell me the story about the first responder who held gauze over a wound until they made it to the hospital. Tell me the story about the volunteer who held the hand of the injured spectator until they got into the ambulance. In six months, tell me the story of those who lost a limb, who beat the odds, pulled through countless surgeries, and are learning to walk again. Tell me the story about the love, the compassion, and the never-ending support of thousands, millions, of people who support the victims here. Tell me their stories. Tell me everything you can, because they are the ones that matter. Tell me of the good that they have done, are doing, and will continue to do, regardless of... No, not regardless of, in spite of. In spite of that someone who would do them harm. Because that's what freedom in this country means. It means coming together in the hardest of times, even in the face of unfathomable adversity, to make life better for all those around us.
Tell me the good stories. That's all I want to hear.
Conversion...
Conversion, wherein one has a change of perspective when reality becomes clear. Last week I posited a question re grading the "shelter in place" order in Boston, "What would it be like to be locked in without a means to protect yourself?" That question became reality for the author of an article entitled How I Evolved on Guns During the #BostonPoliceScanner Manhunt.
The author candidly begins with a confession. I’ve never owned a gun. I never wanted one in my home and, like a lot of moms, I wanted to raise non-violent children and thought keeping guns out of our home was one way to do that.
But I never wanted a gun in my home.
All that was about to change. Her attitude began to change when she was sheltering in place as ordered by the gendarmes. She watched the very well armed "police" take to the streets. A long night passed....fear became a companion. The reality of the situation became readily apparent.
I realized at that moment that the police cannot protect me from the Dzhokhar Tsarnaevs of the world.
The best they can do is tell me to lock myself in my home
while they search for the bad guy. Though the residents of Watertown
(and the surrounding greater-Boston area) were held in a state of
near-martial law, the best most of them could do was huddle in their
homes, hoping the police would take their 3 a.m. call and come running
to rescue them before the terrorist killed them.
....
In the middle of that night listening to the Boston police scanner, I evolved.
I realized right then that if I were holed up in my house
while a cold-blooded terrorist roamed my neighborhood, I wouldn’t want
to be a sitting duck with only a deadbolt lock between me and an armed
intruder. There are not enough police and they cannot come to my rescue
quickly enough. They carry guns to protect themselves, not me. I knew at
that instant if Dzhokhar Tsarnaev showed up at my door while I was
“sheltered-in-place” and aimed a gun at my head and only one of us would
live, I could pull the trigger.
She's buying a gun this week. Read the entire article, it is compelling. How many others residents had similar thoughts? Get a gun....but educate yourself, join the NRA, take a class. Be safe.
Self defense, self preservation. What a concept.

Sadness....
I have been a Scouter for over 15 years. The Scouting Trail has led me on some wonderful adventures with folks from all walks of life. The Scouting family is large and diverse. As the Cubmaster of Pack 546 and later as Scoutmaster of Troop 500, I had the privilege of working, training, and sharing the trail with Richard Glover. He led treks when my boys were active. I led treks with his sons. Mataguay, Emerald Bay, Colorado River Trek, & Palm Canyon to name a few. Richards energy, love of life and scouting allowed him to pass on the traits of leadership to many scouts.
Today, I learned he passed away.....
I am stunned, to say the least. Richard was younger than I and was gearing up for the Philmont Trek later this summer. He leaves two young men and a loving wife. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
Rest easy my friend.
Yours in Scouting.....

Today's WTH?....
I had caught a smattering of this in some posts around the intrawebs for the past few days. Things that make you scratch your head and say, "yeah, sure", as you move along. Whatever happened to the "Saudi National" picked up right after the bombing? Some reports state the Moochelle visited the waif in the hospital. (click) Huh? Then, I am perusing the web this morning I came across this from Glen Beck.
I want you to listen carefully. Yesterday, the F.B.I. released the pictures of and video of two men they say were suspects in the Boston bombings. These are the one was killed last night, and the other hopefully being killed right now. They say they believe the two men carried and placed the two bombs that killed the three innocent Americans including an eight year old boy and injured more than 200 Americans.
Absent from their announcement was any mention of the Saudi national. Now the documents were brought to our attention at TheBlaze, and those documents indicate that this guy is scheduled for deportation next Tuesday due to issues related to national security. The document goes on to say that the individual is linked to the Boston bombing. That’s what the federal document says.
This is the same person that we were initially told was a person of interest. This was the Saudi national in the hospital. His apartment was in Revere, Massachusetts. It was raided. The items were removed. And then we were told he was just a possible witness. And then we were finally told by the authorities he had nothing to do with the attack in fact he wasn’t a witness to the crime. Why was he in the hospital? How did he get to the ground zero? What was he doing there? He wasn’t even a witness? Really?
This guy who wasn’t a witness is suddenly being deported next Tuesday, whisked off our continent to go back to Saudi Arabia, and he wasn’t even a witness – yet the documents he’s being deported voluntarily on terror charges linked to the Boston bombing.
There are several dedicated Americans in the law enforcement community that decided they could not stand idly by, and let the truth be swept under the rug. That a deportation order was being issued. It was issued Tuesday 4:00 p.m. by an organization or a government entity that most people have never heard of called the National Targeting Center. It’s a little known federal antiterrorism division.
So I ask....WTH? Tin foil hat time? Somebody lose their meds? Conspiracy theories run amuck? Go read the whole article.....I guess Monday will be interesting.
