Veterans Day… 

I have these friends. I am blessed to know them. They have a common bond in that they served in the US Military. I could try to name them here…but I would probably miss a few. That would simply not be fair. So I will make this post and say….….Thank You. I am blessed to have met you, honored to know you, and truly humbled by your service. I am proud to be an acquaintance and privileged to be a friend. Accept this as my heartfelt thank you for your past sacrifice and your toil’s going forward. To all of you…..you are my heroes.

Hot Rum Race #1 

A great day on the water! This is  a shot of the boat next to us.  

I liked the way the sun was playing on the water and illuminating the sails.  That is the Coronado Islands in the background, i.e. Mexico.

I used a Pentax autofeed D90x with a 4x62 telephoto with high speed aperture through a foreby filter and with a high light setting. Not really....I grabbed my iPhone and snapped the foto, I was racing fer Gawdsakes.

He Hears Us!!

You always knew those ears on president Zero were special....

"The American people sent a message, one that they’ve sent for several elections now..... To those of you who voted, I hear you," Obama said in his first public remarks since the election. To those who didn't vote, "I hear you too."

He has the ability to hear from people who did not vote.  He claims to know what they said...apparently.

Reminds of that olde joke about marriage. My wife told me that the faucet in the kitchen is leaking and needs repairs. It's not like she needs to remind me every month....

Hearing something and giving a crap about it can be two wildly different things.
