Jury Duty...Moi?

Say what?  Yes even members of the State Bar get called to serve.  Your humble scribe was subpoenaed by the clerk and so I ....went.  Of course, I had played the delay game for a year or so....but, I digress.  

In this state you serve one day, if selected, you serve. If not chosen, you are done for a year.  It's called one and done.  You can also pick your day to show up within a week of your assigned date.  Being an esteemed member of said Bar, I know that empaneling a jury on a Thursday is a low percentage deal.  Particularly since the Courts are closed on Fridays.  So, I went. Lounged around until the mid afternoon reading a book "CloudDancer's Alaskan Chronicles", when, much to my surprise, we were dismissed.

One and done.  C-ya next year.
