Jedi Mind Meld....

president Zero, Our Hero drew a yellow flag last week for mixing his metaphors.  Yes, it has been Revenge of the Nerds, Part XXXVII, as Twittersphere exploded on the news that president Zero doesn't know his Star Wars from his  Star Trek. 

fans were quick to react to Obama's mix-up of sci-fi references and the term "Jedi mind meld" quickly went viral on Twitter. 

The term "Jedi mind trick" is from "Star Wars," while "Vulcan mind meld" is from "Star Trek." Other Twitter users were quick to point out that there is such a thing as a Jedi mind meld, although technically it's a Force meld that is sometimes called a Jedi meld. According to Wookieepedia, the term appears in the expanded universe novel "Star Wars: Outbound Flight."  

Thank goodness a technicality was found in Wookiepedia (huh?)
