War vs Olympics 

We learned last nite on 60 minutes that president Zero has spoken to his field commander in Afghanistan ONCE since his appointment two and a half months ago.

The military general credited with capturing Saddam Hussein and killing the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, says he has spoken with President Obama only once since taking command in Afghanistan.


"I’ve talked to the president, since I’ve been here, once on a VTC [video teleconferece]," Gen. Stanley McChrystal told CBS reporter David Martin in a television interview that aired Sunday.

"You’ve talked to him once in 70 days?" Mr. Martin followed up.


"That is correct," the general replied.

This is the same General that requested more troops three weeks ago. He is waiting for an answer from Zero.

Today, president Zero, Our Hero is flying to Copenhagen to twist the arm of the Olympic Committee to send the 2016 Olmpics to Chicago. 

A cynic might comment that Zero, Our Hero, has put more effort in to winning the Olympics than the war.

It is lovely to feature in other people's dreams. The problem comes when they wake up. Barack Obama is an eloquent, brainy and likeable man with a fascinating biography. He is not George Bush. Those are great qualities. But they are not enough to lead America, let alone the world.

Regimes in Moscow, Pyongyang and Tehran simply pocket his concessions and carry on as before. The picture emerging from the White House is a disturbing one, of timidity, clumsiness and short-term calculation. Some say he is the weakest president since Jimmy Carter. 

CAN I GET AN AMEN!??  Hopey/Changey...how's that working for ya?

That transparent attempt to exploit Emanuel's Law -- a crisis is a terrible thing to waste -- failed for health care because no one is stupid enough to believe that the 2008 financial collapse was caused by a lack of universal health care. 

So on to the next gambit: selling health-care reform as a cure for the deficit. When that was exploded by the Congressional Budget Office's demonstration of staggering Obamacare deficits, Obama tried a new tack: selling his plan as revenue-neutral insurance reform -- until the revenue neutrality is exposed as phony future cuts and chimerical waste and fraud. 

Obama doesn't lie. He implies, he misdirects, he misleads -- so fluidly and incessantly that he risks transmuting eloquence into mere slickness.

Did I think he would yuk it up with Hugo Chávez, smirk with Daniel Ortega about the Bay of Pigs, turn his wrath on a Central American country trying to follow its constitution, denounce President Bush abroad, bow to the king of Saudi Arabia, endorse a radical Middle Eastern view of how Israel came into being, knock Western countries that try to protect Muslim girls from unwanted shrouding, invite the Iranian regime to our Fourth of July parties, stay essentially mute in the face of counterrevolution in Iran, squeeze and panic Israel, cold-shoulder the Cuban democrats in order to warm to the Cuban dictatorship, scrap missile defense in Eastern Europe, and refuse to meet with the Dalai Lama — in addition to his attempts to have government eat great portions of American society? No, I did not. You?

Hopey/Changey...how's that working for ya???

Each day I awaken to some new improved plan foisted upon me by the all knowing all seeing expert on everything, president Zero, Our Hero.  Today missile defense in Europe went down.  He pulled the plug. The Soviets are gleeful, they will be the major benefactors of this move.  The destabilization of our allies the Czechs and the Poles leaves them vulnerable on several fronts.  The void will be filled, either by the inept Europeon Union or Russia.  American influence in the region will wane.

......and what did we get for this move??......nothing.  Absolutely nothing


The kicker?  The announcement comes on the anniversary of the day the Russians last invaded Poland.

Look, in the Bush years, we were told that dissent was the highest form of patriotism. Obama himself as a candidate once used a formulation like that in talking about his refusal to wear a flag pin.

And now, dissent used to be the highest form of patriotism, and now it's the lowest form of racism. In August and over the summer, it [dissent] was a form of mob rule, a demonstration of anger, unruliness, anarchy, and now it has gotten worse.

Look, this charge is so stupid. It is also so offensive, and it's [so] lacking in any evidence of any kind that…this only helps the Republicans. And that's why the White House is not playing into it.

It will increase the intensity of the opponents of Obama healthcare and the [other Obama] policies, because people don't want to be told when they genuinely disagree with a policy that the reason is the lowest of all reasons, namely, racism.

Likewise, Obama didn’t “join” himself to the liberal leadership; he is the liberal leadership. The administration didn’t fall in with the wrong crowd; they are the wrong crowd. Van Jones, Yosi Sergant, and ACORN are where Barack Obama has chosen to live all his adult life. Even if he wanted to be the bipartisan centrist of David Brooks’s fantasies, look at his Rolodex and then figure out just where such a man would estimate the “center” to be.

My sense from Wednesday’s speech is that the president’s gonna shove this through in some form or other. It may cause a little temporary pain in Blue Dog districts in 2010, but the long-term gains will be transformative and irreversible.

9/11/01 ....where were you? Do you remember? I do. I went home. Talked with my wife. Pulled the kids from school and brought them home, safe. Lock and load.

Healthcare?

president Zero was out again this week trying to convince us that spending $900 billion to "reform" healthcare under some plan he has yet to draft is a good thing.  Zero snapped his fingers and called a Joint Session of Congress to hear his words.  The problems arose immediately when it bacame apparent that Zero really has no plan, (Don't believe me? Then produce it.)  Without a stated plan, it does not matter how passionate one is.....your audience ultimately figures out your selling them ice boxes and they live in Wassilla, AK.  In short, it don't work.

It got so bad that one brave member of Congress had the temerity to stand up and call out president Zero as a "liar".  While boorish behavior is not to be condoned, Joe Wilson was spot on.  Zero was lieing.  (need a list?) To his credit Joe Wilson apoligized for the comment, but not the accusation.  After days of harrumping, we now know he was right, the proposed bill would cover illegal aliens.  Even that olde fossil John McCain muscled in on the act playing the part of a useful fool in television interviews. 

Still the left continues to move forward declaring they may use the "reconcilliation" and force the bill through using parliamentary procedures.  The moderates in the Democratic Party are against this since it would most likely spell the end for their tenure in the next election.  The sign on the left pretty much sums up the public attitude.

I predict this will get even more interesting as the lefties continue to fight amongst themselves.  Pull up a chair and enjoy the show.

Van Jones, a racist, commie bastard discovered as one of president Zeros "Czars".  He had his old bunch of rabble rousers attack Glen Beck and start a boycott of his advertisers.  Beck did something that caught them libtards off gaurd.....he fired back, hard.  Van Jones was exposed as the racist, hate america, commie, cop killer sympathizer (Hang Mumia!) that he is.

A bailout for me!!  Arghhhhh!

Tax Dollars to British distiller for Captain Morgan rum

Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum.

With little fanfare, a deal is moving forward to direct billions in U.S. tax dollars to an unlikely beneficiary -- the giant British liquor producer that makes Captain Morgan rum.

Under the agreement, London-based Diageo PLC will receive tax credits and other benefits worth $2.7 billion over 30 years, including the entire $165-million cost of building a state-of-the-art distillery on the island of St. Croix in the Virgin Islands, a U.S. territory. 


Don't get me wrong, I am still against the government bailouts for, as you can see, pretty much everything, BUT, if a stiff splash of rum is one's choice of dealing with this travesty, pour me another...at a discount rate.
