Let's all gather round and marvel at the way the Main Stream Media jumps all over this story about yet another corrupt politician with the moniker "William Jefferson", except this ones from Louisiana. 16 count 94 page indictment for which he could serve over 200 years.

I am confident the MSM will be questioning, neh, badgering HRH Pelosi as to when he will lose his committee membership in her "mostethicalHouseever". They will hound Rep. Jefferson for a response to the charges and maybe even play the film of him accepting the bribe money for comment. They will undoubtedly question the other Representatives that received the proceeds of these bribes as "campaign" contributions from Mr. William Jefferson (D) Louisiana. Jefferson donated nearly $140,000 to the Democrats’ campaign committee. Jefferson also gave thousands to Democrat House members and candidates, including freshmen Nick Lampson, D-TX, Heath Shuler, D-NC, and Ciro Rodriguez, D-TX.
Lampson and Shuler received contributions from Jefferson’s re-election committee, while Rodriguez received $1,000 from Jefferson’s political action committee, the Future PAC. Only Lampson is reported to have returned Jefferson’s contribution.
